The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was released in late August of this year. This smartphone boasts some favorite features like being waterproof, having a headphone jack, and being available in different colors. There are also many new features that this device has to offer. The following are some of the best features you will see with the Galaxy Note 9.
A look inside the Samsung Galaxy Note 9
Just as other Notes have brought you the latest in technology, the Galaxy Note 9 provides the newest processor, a massive battery, and an incredible amount of RAM. The operating system is an Android 8.1 Oreo Samsung Experience 9.5, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
This smartphone has 128/512GBs of storage. Depending on the model you choose, there is either 6 or 8 GB of RAM and the SuperSpeed Dual Pixel, OIS camera. A second front camera has 8MP and is an autofocus version.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has built-in Wi-Fi, 1.2Gbps speed, LTE data, Bluetooth 5.1 LE, and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers among other features. There is also a built-in 3.5mm headphone jack. These are just some of the “basic” features of the new Galaxy Note 9.
The AMOLED display
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has a 6.4 inch screen with the AMOLED display. This screen uses “active matrix organic light emitting diodes” (AMOLED) to give you an integrated touch function.
The Note 9 has a new screen featuring integrated touch ability, unlike older models that only recognize a touch on the surface. The AMOLED screen also gives you exceptional viewing with a wide range of colors. There is an incredible degree of clarity and higher resolution with this enhanced screen.
The new and improved camera
The Galaxy Note 9 has two significant camera upgrades. One is the 2x optical zoom that provides a sharper image. It also has a dual aperture that allows you to take pictures when there isn’t enough light or your subject is dark by letting in more light. This incredible feature surpasses other phones on the market and brings you beautiful low-light photos.
Other additions by Samsung to the Galaxy Note 9 include the new artificial intelligence features on the camera. The camera has a scene optimizer that enables it to recognize objects you are taking pictures of and adjusts the settings accordingly. It can also alert you if images are blurry with the flaw detection feature. You will no longer get photos of subjects closing their eyes, inefficient backlight, or smudged looking images with the Note 9.
The battery on the Galaxy Note 9 is a 4,000Ah, making it 17.5 percent larger than the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung fully remembers and understands the issues with the Galaxy Note 7 battery and wanted to alleviate any concerns with the larger battery, which is reported to be safer than ever.
One of the best features of the Galaxy Note 9 is its storage options. You start with either 128 GBs or 512 GBs and are then able to use memory cards to expand on that capacity. You can increase the storage up to 1 terabyte, allowing you to enjoy more entertainment along with the improved performance.
The S Pen
The color of the S Pen on the Note 9 has changed to a contrasting yellow. It also has been given component upgrades. The new S Pen uses Bluetooth Low Energy, so it can work with your phone from more than 25 feet away. This allows you to use it much like a television remote.
You can take a picture with the S Pen by merely pushing a button, change the slides on a presentation, control your music volume, and pause videos. The S Pen does need to charge from time to time, but can quickly be done within 40 seconds when clipped to Galaxy Note 9.
